Diamond Diesel Service, Inc. will only sell and recommend Performance Products which comply with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (O.E.M) Standards. There are many so called "Performance Products" on the market that improve performance by altering the amount of fuel and air to the engine which have the potential of damaging your engine or Fuel Injection System. We do not recommend these products.  We do recommend specific Performance Products because these products either improve engine performance without altering the Fuel Injection System or monitor the Engine to insure that the Diesel Fuel Injection System is operating correctly.

1) Diamond Diesel is an Authorized Service Dealer for the Fuel Injection System on your vehicle and we can't and would not recommend anything that might void your warranty with the O.E.M. Providing service for Fuel Injection systems is what we have been doing for a living since 1965.  We represent manufacturers such as Bosch, Zexel, Stanadyne, Delphi who monitor our employee training and equipment to insure that we have the latest and greatest in Diesel Fuel Injection technology.

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS

Several non-OEM air intake systems are available that improve the performance of your engine without voiding the Manufacturer Warranty.  They improve the engine performance because the air intake system replaces the more restrictive factory box and paper filters and lets your engine breathe better. The air intake system benefits are especially noticeable at higher elevations when the engine is starved for air. These systems require an up front investment to purchase them but because the filters are washable and re-useable, in theory, the investment will eventually pay for itself.

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM 1989 to1993 EXHAUST SYSTEMS

Our 3.5" over- the- axle pipe and low restriction muffler is a 100% improvement over the stock exhaust system. If you have a 4x4 we also have an intermediate pipe that has mandrel bends to route around the transfer case for smooth quick exhaust flow.

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM 1994 TO 1999 EXHAUST SYSTEMS

Diamond Diesel has 2 kits for you to choose from! The most popular kit is the rear portion, which replaces the stock 3" system from the cat to the tail pipe. This high flow 4" Big Mac Muffler slips onto the 4" mandrel bent over the axle pipe and is finished with a chrome tail pipe extension. Sounds tough and improves the turbo response and is easily installed by the back yard mechanic! The 2nd kit replaces the front portion of the system from the turbo to the Cat with 4" pipe. This kit does require some welding to fit it on the cat. When you combine both kits you will open the system for optimum turbo performance.
 

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM EXHAUST BRAKES

Since diesel engines lack a throttle valve on the intake manifold there is no intake vacuum when the engine is not fueling.  The intake vacuum creates the slowing effect felt in gasoline engines when they are going down a hill with the foot off of the gas, otherwise known as slowing using engine compression.

Exhaust brakes operate by closing off the exhaust path from the engine, causing the exhaust gasses to be compressed in the exhaust manifold and in the cylinder.  Since the exhaust is being compressed and there is no fuel being applied the backpressure provides the retarding horsepower to slow down the vehicle on even the steepest descents or just slowing down for a highway off ramp.   Exhaust brakes can extend the life of your service brakes by as much as 5 times.  More advanced exhaust brakes have exhaust pressure modulation (EPM) that controls the back pressure which in turn improves the braking performance across a range of engine speeds. 

CUMMINS/DODGE 1999 to 2002 EXHAUST BRAKES

Diamond Diesel has the original and best performing exhaust brake for your Dodge truck. When you add a this Brake to your diesel powered vehicle, you can drive safely knowing you have: the latest technology, the finest engineering and the ultimate in exhaust brake design from the original innovators of engine brakes for personal-use vehicles! 3" vacuum cylinder with a progressive spring loaded piston delivers 100 psi, "apply & release pressure". The exclusive "alumibronze" bushings prevent shaft sticking. The free flowing elbow casting incorporates an off set stainless steel butterfly. Once the engine has reached the peak retarding pressure the offset butterfly compresses the spring and calibrates the retarding HP. It beats anything else in the industry! The exhaust brake casting simply bolts in place of an existing elbow. It's attached into the trucks vacuum system for control. No engine modifications are needed on the 24 valve engines. For peak retarding power on the 12-valve engine we have H/D exhaust springs available.
 

CUMMMINS/DODGE RAM 2003 EXHAUST BRAKES

Ram 2003 turbo mount exhaust brake casting bolts in place of the existing elbow where it is clamped to the turbo outlet and exhaust system. "Variable orifice technology" has been incorporated into this air engagement design that results in peak retarding power throughout the engine's operating rpm. The spring loaded air cylinder closes the offset Stainless Steel butterfly and Stainless Steel shaft which rotates in a special bushing material to ensure that the butterfly does not stick closed or open. The butterfly has been positioned in the exhaust brake elbow so when open exhaust flow is not reduced. A threaded port for mounting an exhaust temperature probe and a port with 1/4 SS line connected is a simple method to monitor retarding performance. A lighted on/off toggle switch is wired into an electronic idle verification board for quick exhaust brake engagement. The durable air compressor that is included can also be used for other applications; it's a Ram tuff product.

There is nothing more disheartening than to have all these performance add-ons to you 5.9L Cummins so you can race your buddies only to find out that your stock lift pump cannot deliver the fuel! That's right; the stock lift pump was not designed to deliver the amount of fuel that the latest race add-ons are demanding to produce the horsepower you are demanding. The auxiliary Lift Pump Kit adds a proven second lift pump to extend the life of your fuel system. This new pump will ensure that your VP44 or CP3 pump has ample fuel to support over 600HP. Don't be concerned about hard starts due to high fuel pressure; this kit includes a proprietary switch that solves the hard start issues common with other lift pump kits. CUMMINS/DODGE RAM LOW FUEL PRESSURE LIGHT

 

The VP44 injection Fuel Pump on your Dodge Ram Truck can be damaged if it is starved for fuel.  The #1 cause of injection pump failure is low supply pump pressure.  This kit indicates to the driver with a Red LED if the supply pressure to the VP44 injection pump is dropping below 5 psi.  This will allow you time to replace your less expensive supply pump before low pressure prematurely wears out the expensive injection pump.  This is an inexpensive and easy way to protect your VP44 Fuel injection pump.

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM TEMPERATURE/EXHAUST & TURBO BOOST MONITOR

What good is all this new power if you can't monitor it? Enter the X Monitor.
Its readout mounts inside a nice module that is positioned on the driver's side A-pillar. Seen are all three functions at the same time: transmission temperature, exhaust temperature and turbo boost pressure. All three have limits, and these numbers are downloaded into the X Monitor. When any are met or exceeded, the monitor face flashes a warning that can't be missed.

Benefits of installing the XMonitor:
. Operating pressures & temperatures can easily be read with a simple glance.
. The display brightness can be set for driver comfort.
. The peak operating levels can be set to flash warning for safety.
. The low mount does not restrict vision.

Peak levels are saved in memory and can be viewed after a run. The exhaust temperatures are monitored with a Pyrometer probe inserted in the exhaust flow. The probe can be mounted before of after the turbocharger. If mounted after the turbo the temperatures will vary from 300 F to 1000 F. If mounted before the turbo temperatures of 300 F to 1200 F will be normal working levels. Select the temperatures that should not be exceeded and the numbers will flash when it is attained. It is hard to have too much turbocharger boost pressure but if you have too little under a hard pull the result can be high operating temperatures. Transmission oil temperatures will reflect how hard you are working the transmission. The oil begins to break down quickly once it reaches 270 F. Higher temperatures cause transmission life to shorten, set the limit at the 250 F and increase the operating life. We can also monitor the fuel transfer pump pressure on the ISB electronic engines. Traditional round Analog gauges and mounts are also available; please scroll the page down to view them. Stay on top of what is happening in your engine with the proper gauges from BD! A Pyrometer to monitor exhaust temperatures. The Turbo Boost gauge keeps track of a turbo pressures. A Back Pressure gauge monitors exhaust brake performance. An Oil Temperature gauge will insure that you are aware of how well your transmission is functioning.

CUMMINS/DODGE RAM GAUGES & HOLDERS

The new line of Isspro analog gauges have a nice rounded face with good back ground lighting. You can easily monitor exhaust temperature, boost pressure and transmission temperature. Pillar mounts that hold 1 or 3 gauges are available and can be painted to match the brown dash color.
