FRANKFURT — Delphi is expanding its parts operation, training and service center network in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, as demand for high quality replacement parts and servicing for petrol and diesel vehicles in these regions continues to grow. The company launched its comprehensive product portfolio, including air conditioning, brakes, shock absorbers, steering and suspension, vehicle electronics components, as well as a full range of diagnostic tools and specialised diesel test equipment. It will also soon be launching its innovative new fuel analyser in these regions.

In preparation for the official launch of its Delphi Service Centre network in these regions, Delphi has recruited a number of high quality independent garages and is providing them with all the latest training on key topics such as air conditioning maintenance, complete braking and steering and suspension systems, vehicle electronics, diagnostics and diesel servicing. These product ranges are all supported by Delphi’s rich 100 year OE heritage and engineering expertise. The Delphi portfolio is complemented in Russia and Central European countries with specific applications to meet with the needs of the local car parc and provide complete coverage locally, including Lada models as well as most popular Asian models.

More than 70 percent of cars in Russia are over ten years old, which creates a significant demand for replacement parts and servicing. There is also a large segment of heavy duty diesel vehicles, with the overall diesel vehicle parc in Russia set to grow by 30 percent in the next three years"

Delphi has been present as an original equipment manufacturer in Russia since 1990 and currently operates two manufacturing sites in the Samara region, as well as a national customer service and sales team based in Moscow. In order to raise awareness of its technical expertise and OE-specification products among aftermarket businesses, the company’s representatives in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe have run parts promotions, attended trade shows and increased their level of interaction with key automotive media in these countries.

The company is continually increasing the support it offers to its pan-European Delphi Service Centre (DSC) network and has recently added an enhanced range of in-depth training programmes, exclusive webinars and technical bulletins. Workshop managers can book staff for Delphi training courses, keep a record of courses attended and develop personalised training plans via Delphi’s web-based Learning Management System.
